Juvenile
Your friends, family, or society may make you feel small, kicked out, and a ‘bad person’ after your situation—or you may be making yourself feel like that. That’s where Yaroch Counseling comes in—providing you with the care you need while providing an outlet of support through good therapy.
MORE ABOUT
How we treat you
Ben will provide outpatient therapy specific to the juvenile’s history and acute behavior(s) that have led to seeking treatment. Ben is a Clinical Member and Fellow of the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA). This is an important fact, because ATSA sets best practices and ethical standards for clinicians to follow. Through professional research and the input of expert practitioners, ATSA sets specific guidelines for those of us who work primarily with juveniles—something Ben takes seriously.
Ben is also an expert in treating trauma. He is trained in AFCBT, TFCBT and will soon be EMDR certified. The link between adverse childhood experiences, family distress/trauma and the development of problematic or harmful behaviors in children is well studied and documented. Ben does not simply treat the presenting problem, but rather explores the potential impact of the person’s entire life experiences and family system.
