Focusing on the client’s inherent resilience, Kate practices from an existential, holistic, and empowering approach while tailoring treatment to the client’s preferences, needs, and goals. She has experience working with all age demographics and in most clinical settings. Kate regularly addresses concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, life transitions, personality disorders, neurodivergence, obsessions, and compulsions.
Regarding specialized training and clinical practice, Kate treats women’s issues, perinatal mental health conditions, active-duty military and veterans, other mental health professionals, and the schizophrenia spectrum. Additionally, she has extensive experience with the criminal justice, probation, and corrections systems, as well as with family court matters and agency collaboration.
Kate is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), registered art therapist (ATR) and is also certified to treat perinatal and postpartum disorders (PMH-C). She graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors of Psychology and Studio Art with a minor in Philosophy; and earned a Masters of Art Therapy with Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University.
