Bethanne Petrylak, MA, LMFT holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hill University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked extensively with at-risk youth and their families. This includes high-conflict families, parenting concerns, life transitions, and co-parenting. Beth enjoys working with children, adolescents, and their caregivers both individually and as a whole system. She is passionate about working to reunite families through family reunification therapy. Beth also has experience in other areas including couples and marriages.
Another passion of hers is working with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. She has previously worked at a renowned treatment center specialized in eating disorders. Her experience there includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, as well as being the lead facilitator of an outpatient support group. Her approach to treating eating disorders includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and exploring the emotional function of eating disorders/disordered eating. She also practices from a Health at Every Size perspective and has extensive experience with anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. Beth is experienced in working with co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and obsessive compulsive disorder. She is happy to see clients ages 12+ who are experiencing eating concerns.
Beth prioritizes having mental health treatment available to all who need it. She prides herself on having an inclusive environment for all of her clients. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming, an advocate for social justice, and aligned with body inclusivity.
