Benjamin Yaroch holds degrees from George Mason University (BA; English and Social Work) and West Virginia University (Masters of Social Work, MSW). Benjamin has 25 years of post-graduate experience with children, adolescents and families. Working with adolescents/youth and families sometimes means addressing challenging behaviors that can include resistance to authority, school problems, chronic and persistent rule breaking, personal trauma, illegal behaviors and violence. Benjamin enjoys working directly with schools, the Court, adult/juvenile probation and children and youth services. Benjamin treats adults and adolescents seeking assistance for mental health needs and/or life problems that require special attention. Benjamin has many years of experience working well with the Court system, often providing Court ordered assessments and treatment. Benjamin is well-respected by the Court and county agencies.
Benjamin is dedicated to treating children, adolescents and young adults with acute or chronic concerns of problematic or harmful sexual behaviors. Benjamin dedicates his practice to treating adolescents and young-adult. Many times over, Benjamin has been determined to be an expert by the Court – an expert in the assessment and treatment of juveniles who demonstrate harmful sexual behaviors or firesetting behaviors. Benjamin is designated as a Fellow and Clinical Member of the Association For The Treatment & Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA). Benjamin is committed to ending sexual and physical violence against children and adolescents. Benjamin works everyday to advance his practice to serve youth who have harmed. You should know that there is a big difference in how one assesses and clinically treats adolescents. Benjamin knows the difference and that is why he only focuses on youth and young-adults.
